James Taylor (almost) tames Bears

Leicestershire v Warwickshire, Grace Road, Clydesdale 40 Overs, 25 July

Our Cricket Correspondent writes:

Promising Leicestershire leg-spinner James Taylor today (almost) stunned the Warwickshire Bears into submission with an outstanding spell of 4-61 in 6 overs.  If it hadn’t been for a missed chance in the outfield Taylor might have found himself on the honours board alongside Leicestershire legends such as Ken Higgs for the best return in 40 over cricket.  Here we see Taylor, to the left of the picture, (green cap and brown shirt, facing left, partially obscured), besieged by autograph hunters on his way in for tea –

After your correspondent was compelled to leave in the interval, Taylor apparently also knocked off 103 in Leicestershire’s reply.

This Blog Says : C’mon, Mr. Selector, there must be a place for a little’un on that plane !!!???!!!!
